Acoustic response of ear canal combined between ear simulator and acoustic coupled cavity by numerical simulation computation and actual measurement

According to ITU and IEC standards, the acoustic response characteristics of different parameters including the length of ear canal and tympanic cavity’s volume are constructed as thermos-viscous acoustics models and analyzed. Meanwhile, in the aspect of numerical calculation methods, the difference between the finite volume element method and the mixed finite element method and boundary element method are also compared respectively. Afterwards, a set of test scheme is designed to verify the calculation results of the above acoustic response by means of the measurement results obtained with the professional equipment such as KEMAR (Knowles Electronics Manikin for Acoustic Research) or HATS(Head and Torso Simulator)and artificial ear, ear simulator, acoustic coupling cavity. The above work has provided with a good guiding significance for predicting and analyzing the hearing effect due to different structural features of ear canal and tympanum.
