Our dialogue enhancement team is looking for a research engineer or research scientist to develop cutting-edge technologies based on deep learning for our products. Our team is committed to making audio in broadcasting and streaming more accessible and personalized for everyone. Deep neural networks can help us do so, as shown in our co-operations with broadcasters. Your role will be to investigate and implement new machine learning concepts to separate and enhance speech from a final audio track in an efficient way and with excellent audio quality. This process can significantly impact  the quality of life of people struggling every day with understanding dialogues in movies, news, and TV programs.

 

What you bring to the table

  • A scientific degree (Master, Ph.D. or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Sciences, Media Technologies, Neurosciences, or a related subject.
  • Expertise in machine learning and deep neural networks.
  • Good background in audio digital signal processing, especially related to speech processing.
  • Good programming skills, at least in Python and PyTorch, and preferably knowledge in MATLAB and C/C++.
  • Fluent English for collaborative work in an international team. German is a plus.
  • Strong publication record and/or industry experience are a plus.

The position is initially limited to 2 years with the aim to extend it subsequently. The weekly working time is 39 hours. This vacancy is also available on a part-time basis.
