This is an exciting opportunity for a postdoctoral researcher to join a talented multi-disciplinary team and to progress towards an independent research career. The successful candidate will be encouraged and supported to apply for their own funding during the second half of the appointment. They will already have postdoctoral research experience relevant to the study of CIs and will have a good record of publications in international peer-reviewed journals. The appointment will be made at the Research Associate (RA) or Senior Research Associate (SRA) level; appointment as an SRA will require evidence of an independent research reputation. Due to the levels of skills and experience required we anticipate making an appointment towards the top of the RA scale or towards the bottom of the SRA scale.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 5 years in the first instance.
Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check (enhanced with adults’ barred list). This appointment also requires a Research Passport application.
Approval to Senior Research Associate is subject to Faculty Board approval.
